Emily, raised in Fort Collins, received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. She returned to Colorado to earn her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado in 2001 and joined Rebound in 2008. Emily’s interest in the human body began in anatomy class and during her years as a collegiate runner, where the hours spent in the training room’s ice bath turned into an appreciation of injury prevention and rehab. Her clinical focus includes general orthopedics with extensive experience in the spine, headaches, whiplash, the lower extremity and running injuries, along with Vestibular (inner ear) and Concussion Rehabilitation. Emily helps patients reach their functional and athletic goals by finding the root cause of injury, pain, or dysfunction. Her treatment techniques include manual therapy, dry needling, Postural Restoration, balance and gait training, and therapeutic exercise. Emily was certified by Emory University in Vestibular Rehabilitation in 2005. Additionally, in 2022, she was certified as a Functional Dry Needling Specialist. Emily has experience as a competitive runner in the 5K through the marathon. She enjoys an active lifestyle with her husband running the local trails, road and mountain biking, hiking, Nordic skiing, and trying to keep up with their two busy teenagers and energetic mutt, Chester. Emily is also fluent in Spanish.
