Karen was raised in Fort Collins and received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Athletic Training from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. After working at various high schools and an outpatient physical therapy clinic as a Certified Athletic Trainer in Greeley and Loveland, Karen returned to school and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Denver in 2009. Karen has practiced in private, outpatient Sports Medicine clinics throughout her career utilizing many Postural Restoration Institute™ techniques to treat patients of all ages and activity levels to help them attain their movement goals and return them to their desired daily and athletic activities. Karen is currently one of less than 10 certified Postural Restoration practitioners in the Northern Colorado region. Karen is Level 2 certified in Functional Dry Needling through Kinetacore and enjoys utilizing these techniques to assist in the overall care of her patients. In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time in the mountains hiking, camping, fishing, and snowshoeing with her husband, 2 beautiful and crazy daughters and their wild and energetic dog.
