Kevin is originally from Southern California but grew up in Canon City, Colorado. After serving his country in the United States Army, he moved to Fort Collins where he graduated from Colorado State University in 1997. Kevin immediately found his passion for rehabilitation of the upper extremity, and soon after he earned the designation to be recognized as a certified hand therapist (CHT). Among other accreditation, he is also a certified ergonomic assessment specialist (CEAS) and has performed ergonomic analysis within many facets of governmental and private business. Kevin has been an active educator at Colorado State University and has regularly been a guest lecturer within the anatomy department as well as the occupational therapy program. He enjoys sharing his passion and expansive knowledge through the teaching of shoulder/hand therapy courses as well as mentoring students completing their postgraduate internships. During his career, Kevin has acquired extensive training which has led to a deep understanding of the anatomy, kinesiology, and rehabilitation for upper extremities. He has vast experience treating and managing complex post operative conditions, traumatic and repetitive injuries, and neurologic injuries from the shoulder to the hands…and routinely performs musculoskeletal and neuromuscular evaluations for a wide variety of intricate upper quadrant diagnoses. Kevin designs and fabricates a variety of splints to aid in injury protection and healing from various materials on site. He has been an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT) since 2001. Kevin and his family enjoy being in the great outdoors of Colorado…especially hiking, camping and exploring. He enjoys all sports, but has coached youth baseball for over 10 years.
