Priya has been a physical therapist for over ten years and specializes in orthopedics, postoperative rehabilitation, and sports medicine. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University, graduating with high honors in 2012 and became an American Physical Therapy Association Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) in 2015. She became a Functional Dry Needling Certified Specialist in 2022. She joined the Rebound team in August 2016, when she relocated to Fort Collins after her husband accepted a position as a professor in psychology at Colorado State University. Priya became interested in physical therapy after coming back from several knee surgeries during high school and college. She played varsity soccer, basketball and lacrosse during high school and played Division I Lacrosse at Columbia University, where she graduated with honors with a B.A. in Sociology. After college, Priya lived in Hawaii and San Diego where she developed a love for surfing and coaching youth lacrosse. She also competed in triathlons for a few years. For the past six years, she has served as an assistant coach to the Women’s Poudre School District Varsity Lacrosse team. She also has a 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training certification. Priya believes in helping each person achieve the quickest recovery possible by creating individually tailored rehabilitation programs unique to each person. She loves sharing her knowledge of the human body and the science and art of physical therapy with her patients to help them learn how to recover quickly and prevent future injury. Priya enjoys yoga, road and gravel biking, paddle boarding, and surfing. She was born in Bangalore, India and grew up in New Jersey. She has two boys, Luke and Rocco and a puppy named Pixie.
